Hey all, 2 days ago, my dog, Dexey passed away. She was only expected to live to be 8 years old and she ended up living to be 13 years old!! I really miss her and I've been working on a song for her in the past couple of days.

There are a million ways to say goodbye, and I wish I could say goodbye in every one. I’m never going to be satisfied with this goodbye message, but here goes. You were the best dog a kid could ask for. All you did was love us. I'm going to miss your happy panting outside and sunbathing in the shade. Thank you for being such a good dog. You taught Flynn everything. I'm so sorry I couldn't play tug of war with you one more time. You were always there for me. When I would cry, you'd be right there to lick all of my tears up. You are a really good doggo. I'm so happy you finally aren't hurting anymore. Thank you for putting up with Baby Kaden and staying here to comfort teenage Kaden. You really kept me going, doggo. Thank you for being Jaylan's guard dog (even though we know you'd never hurt a soul). Thank you for taking pictures with me, and putting up with all of the goofy things I would do. 13 years ago, we brought you into our household, and gave you a home. You've only ever been a loving, and caring doggo. Thank you for being our doggo. You are the best dog a kid could've ever asked for. I hope that you have so many bones to chew and so much grass to sniff. Don't stress anymore. You did an amazing job. Thank you, dog. Goodbye, Dexey. Rest in Piece. Thank you for being our Dexey Sue.
